New Cast Iron Grate

I got a new cast iron grate today and I'm loving it!! Who has some tips or tricks with the cast iron? I feel like it cooks faster than the original SS grate. I keep my egg in the garage is this thing going to rust??

Just keep it seasoned and it will be fine.

No it won't rust as long as you season it with oil before and after the cook as long as you do this the cast iron grill will out live you your children your grandchildren and so on2 Large Eggs and a Mini 2 Pit Bulls and a Pork shoulder or butt nearby and 100% SICILIANLong Island N.Y.

I've got the SS and the CI and I Like both of them. Which one I use depends on what im cooking.

Cooking on an XL and Medium in Bethesda, MD. -
Fan of CI (don't forget a CI advantage is to flip it over for the wider flat side when putting dutch ovens; pans, etc on it)
One thing my son and me do is always run the temp up to 600 at the end of a cooking run to crust things up, scrap, and season for the next time.
