Lump in Knoxville

Where are you Knoxvillians getting your lump and what brand? Wal-Mart seems to be out of Royal Oak and Ace seems to have quit carrying WWWG.

Next door neighbor has been liking B & B from Academy I think for $14 for 20 lbs.
I'm still getting Gordon Food Service (Kingston Pike by Academy) which is Royal Oak branded for $14.99 for 20 lbs.

All the more reason to stock up whenever you can.  In Mo. fortunately I don't have that problem.  Not sure why you do.  Tractor Supply carries RO too.

I would highly recommend getting the Rockwood lump from stlcharcoal. It is by far the best I've had the pleasure of using to date. Burns way hot & has a very mild smoke flavor to it, which means you can completely control your smoke flavor by adding your own wood chunks or have little to none if so desired. It's a great product ... glad I stocked up on it!

95 cents a pound! I doubt I'd buy a single bag at that price ... I don't care how good it might be. .... oh wait. Ya got free shipping. Nah, I still wouldn't have done it!

  • My grandkids live in Pigeon Forge so I'm there quite often.  If you need someone to take a few bags, I'd probably get in in this.

Hopefully, next time you will have had some sleep, it won't be pouring down rain, and there won't be TWO separate semi-truck accidents on I-44 in front of the warehouse.   I-)

Just found out about the thread, I am in on a pallet purchase and my neighbor nibble me this also indicated he would go in on a pallet.  Does someone have a business address for the pallet to ship to.

    Philicious:

I am in Maryville.  Last year I had trouble finding RO in the Walmart stores in the Fall.  However, when I did site to store, I was able to order it and pick it up.  I just had to try a couple different Walmarts in the area.  Definitely worth a shot, as it seems they put it in the back to make room for their holiday section since I was able to pick it up a couple hours after I ordered it.

If you are doing the pallet of the Rockwood and want/need another in on that, I would be willing to try a couple bags.

@philicious  I would take up to 10 bags, nibble me this would be in the 6-10 range.  if we get 4 people that works to 2@7 and 2@8.
