local safeway has some very nice looking tuna steaks last night. ..bought 4 of them for dinner...spawn whipped up a very nice melted butter/lemon/herb combo that we brushed on the steaks, then grilled them direct at 400 degrees dome temp for about 2 - 3 minutes per side (they weren't very thick) medium domeness, brushing them with more of the lemon butter while grilling . . .they were very tasty. . ..[p]prior to putting the tuna steaks on the grill i roasted some whole red peppers direct on the coals in the egg . . these are really good, just keep turning them on the coals till they are blistered and black all over. . .then seal them in a plastic bag for 15 minutes. ..remove and peel off the skins under cold water, slice, pat dry and plate them up with some EVOO and fresh ground peppper. ..[p]also had some peas and cantelope to round out a nice healthy meal. ..[p]good stuff. . ..sorry no pics. ..
