Just got my table built and the L BGE set up yesterday
and attempted my first cook. I am amazed how precise I can control temperature
to bake (mac-n-cheese), grill (steaks) and roast (corn). I love it.....
Welcome aboard! Looks like you are off to a great start!

And your are correct, Texas Red has no Beans
Beautiful table. What type of wood?
My table is made of Tiger Maple with Cedar legs. The finish is Cabot Aussy Oil in Flaming Mahogany with three coats of Teak Oil over that. I got the wood very cheaply from a local mill, otherwise I would have used something less expensive. I'm pleased with how it turned out. The "hot plate" bottom is 16x16 Travertine tile.
Thanks for all the positive feedback. Iwas really pleased how well everything turned out and it's the best tasting grilling I think I've ever done.
Nice setup and cook! Your name motoboss......you use to do motocross?
No, not motocross although I was in CCS Roadracing series years ago but it does have to do with motorcycling. Being a Program Manager for a Rider's Edge learn to ride program, an MSF Rider Coach, a track day instructor and a BMV Tester I was being called "motorcycle boss" it evolved into MotoBoss.
Thanks for you comments.......
Well I've been grilling/smoking away on the XL BGE.............Gettin better all the time
Pork tenderloin with peach/balsamic vinegar glaze, sweet potatos and grilled peaches and onions. The Wife is making corn on the stove boil, she's tired of all the grilled corn I've done lately!
