New Antique Egg Table

My new BGE arrives tomorrow so I've been building (repurposing really) a home for it. My Grandfather's old wooden table saw was perfect for this project.

Can't wait!

What a great idea, just keep the heat away from it. Very Nice!

Very cool man. You may want to make sure it can hold the weight of the egg. I am sure that is the first thing you thought of but given the age of that piece thought I would throw that out there. What a unique table. Thanks for posting

I've reinforced the bottom shelf and the piece is still very solid. I think I'll take another look and see if I can reinforce it even more. Wouldn't want to damage the table or my BGE. Thanks!

    Gorgeous, simply gorgeous.

Man, that is just wayyyy cool.  My grandfather was a carpenter and I know how much I cherish his old tools.  I also know how we men love to bond with our eggs and tables.  Knowing the relationship you have with this table and your grandfather is priceless.

    Nice work.

  • I like it.  Nice job.
