How can I make the most of my Mini?
I have a large that I almost lost in a divorce. Durring my brief "batch" time I bought a mini for my condo to cure my egg jones. Now I am back in a home and got my large back but I still like to fire up the mini for small cooks or rainy afternoons. The problem is I know that I could be doing more on this mini. I do have a plate setter and have done some hens and half racks of ribs but like any egg-er.. I want more!
I read posts from time to time about woo's and wang's and I thought I would ask for some opinions on what I can purchase to make my mini more useful?

Lodge makes some smaller Dutch ovens - I don't know how small a mini is but a little research might pay off. Maybe you could do braises and stews to broaden the scope a little. Clay pots (even flower pots if the heat isn't too much) can render good results for bread - easier to make than most people think - yeast, water, a little salt and sugar and AP flour, a couple of rises and you're off to the races! Beans too.

Mickey... so it looks like the woo extender is a must have to allow for some of these other cooking options. your third pic down is that the CI pan? Is it flat... if so that is way cool for searing.... takes a lot of energy to get my ci half moon up to temp on my large. what size is it? avail on amazon? -
The CI griddle in Mickey's pic is a Lodge part #L70GH3. Some places to get one: http://www.missionrs.com/L70GH3.html or http://www.wasserstrom.com/restaurant-supplies-equipment/Product_309165
Just remembered one more accessory option, BGE CI grid (#10CI):

I would buy the above pizza stones over the plate sitter. Now to use the Mini Woo you must have a 10"grate.

My lodge griddle is wobly on top of the woo because of the small tabs added to the woo to hold the grate in place. When I use my griddle, I turn the woo ring over and it fits great. The new Woo does not look the same as the one @Mickey has in the pic.Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013 -
New woo attached.... now has groves for the grate and the tab I circled prevents the griddle from sitting flat. Just flip the woo over and it works well with the griddle.Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013
