Flint, Michigan.  If the lead bullets don't kill you, the leaded water will.

  • Saw the trick of the briquette?  Nope, I hadn't heard of that.  If you mean that Kingsford contains sodium nitrate, I'm one of many places that have quoted the letter Kingsford sent out listing the "ingredients".

Not sure where I saw it then but I still attribute most of the stuff I act like I know to your site so why stop now? :))

So are you using Bad Byron's Butt rub or something else?
  • Post oak and white oak are two different species here in Kentucky. We have red oak on the farm too. It's interesting for me to know what I call a white oak, someone else might call a post oak.

I assumed he just meant the literal color of the wood. Where white, post, or pin oak has lighter (white) wood a southern, northern, or cherrybark red oak has really red wood. At least thats how it is here in arkansas.

I'm going to try the Ryan Braun on a pork butt tomorrow. @The_Cen-Tex_Smoker if you see this, how much do you mean when you say "very little"? Are we talking a tablespoon in with the rub or a teaspoon or less?
