Pulled Pork and Fried Okra

Dyal_SCDyal_SC Posts: 2,063

Dug through the freezer tonight and found some goodies.  All we had to do was thaw and heat the pulled pork and then fry up the okra.  :)  Can't remember when I last smoked up pork butt, but it heated up just fine!  :)

The pulled pork was sauced in some Sticky Fingers Carolina Mustard Sauce.  Good stuff!

@Chubbs, they are the Southern Home brand of breaded okra. I think we usually pick it up at Bi-Lo. Other brands are good too though. Easy to fry them up. Just preheat some canola or veggie oil to 350-375 deg f and fry the okra until they are golden brown...then sprinkle with salt. Only takes about 4 or 5 minutes.

Nice. Will have to look for them. My grandmothers fried okra was the best I ever had. A sudden passing left the recipe a mystery. No one has been able to come close.
