My neighbor gave us some homemade pesto so the wife wants pasta. I'm figuring on a simple chicken breast cook but would like a appetizer ti spruce up the meal.

Classic antipasto, or if you want to use the egg to "toast" the bread an antipasti.Stuffed mushrooms, about as Italian as NY style pizza..... it is all good, whatever you make will be fine, IMO - classic antipasto is simple easy and very good.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I was gonna say stuffed mushrooms with Italian sausage and cheeses.You should do the Bruschetta too though. That sounds too easy and good not to. I have bought the Panini before but I just ate it like a fancy slim jim.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
