When you look at a member's profile it includes username, date joined, etc, etc and then there's points.  What's that all about?

    You mean like, dislike, abuse, troll, etc? It's a nonsense system where people can judge you by clicking the different flags underneath your posts. It doesn't really "mean" anything but there are trolls out there who will flag people as trolls because they have nothing better to do. I wonder who has the most troll points...

    From a web search of vanilla forum points...don't know how accurate this is

    ok so there is badge system in this discussion forums. and these points add up to your badges. and these badges are different for different stuff.

    there are badges for

    1. Discussions you start or comments you make - which add to your points.

    2. If someone accepts your answer - adds to your points

    3. if someone likes your comment - adds to your points

    4. if you have been member of this community for 1 year = badge, 2 year = another badge, so on.

    5. if you change your profile picture = you get badge and points

    just brief details to get you started. there are many other badges as well

    No Grif...not likes, dislikes...I mean "points".  As in I have 13 and you have 143.  (could it be points like my driving record has points - hope not)
