LitLit Posts: 3,650
Buddy just sent me this from a local dealer. They said all their new eggs they are getting have plastic handles. Looks cheap to me.

The handle is longer than the egg is in diameter.

The new handles are the same width (9" for Lrg and XL) as the last "new" handle. They also have the same 3 screw attachment from the backside as the last handle. This recent change has been made to match the new Eggmates, made of the same material.

BGE might want to rethink this one.

    Cheesy!

IMO, the one thing that might help, would be to make the handle green, to match the Egg.

You can make plastic any color!

Utter and total epic fail. Looks like sheat. Hope potential new customers don't see if and buy another brand instead. Just looks cheap.

I get the idea that this handle will likely be weatherproof. In fact, I have a replacement handle for one of my eggs that is a extra heavy durable plastic because my stock handle is worn. Mine is black and indestructible and actually looks pretty good but haven't installed it yet. I think the combination of it's size and color are completely off-- they missed the mark on this one.

I hate when they try to make plastic look like wood (the color here).  At least they didn't put fake wood grain in it.   Just make it look like plastic.
