Buy a dough ball from publix oil a skillet and plop the dough in it. Push it out and dress it. Cook around 500 for 20-25 mins. Can't get much easier.Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

i will try that. really frustrated with the lack of success. probably going to do some fish or pork chops on sunday. heading to pinehurst to play golf tomorrow and probably eat sushi with the fiancé tomorrow night. can't go wrong with any of the three lol

Chubbs nailed it. We buy our dough from whole foods if we are short on time. Roll it out thin on cornmeal dusted parchment. Dress, hit the well pre-heated pizza stone, pull the parchment after 7 minutes or so, let it roll til everything is golden brown. Molto bene.

Plenty of great dough recipes out there. The flat bread was your first mistake.
Once you nail pizza at home, you'll never want to pay for pie at 90% of the restaurants out there.
So you have a stand mixer or food processor?Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
I just traded my Kitchen Aid pro 600 for a Breville. It looks like I made the right choice so far.I also got a 11.75 in Le Creuset frying pan. WOOP WOOPBe careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

Smaller, MUCH LIGHTER, the head tilts instead of the damn bowl lift, the controls are digital instead of analog, the head locks in the up position, the attachments are superior, it looks better.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

If you buy from Bed Bath and Beyond, you can take it back anytime for any reason. No questions asked.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

It's all about the dough, bro. My guess is you are using different dough (store bought) for all your cooks. Highly recommend making fresh or picking one store bought that works (if you find one let me know). I've recent done 2 mass pizza cooks where everyone wanted to do their own dough. I butchered the dough that I wasn't used to. Mine cooks at 600-650, theirs burned at 500 and was raw on the top. Pick a lane and stick with it.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -
It sounds like he's using already baked flat bread.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

I watched Fred's BBQand music video on pizza on Youtube. He gives perfect instruction. I cooked my first pizza this Wednesday using Publix Pizza dough, homemade pizza sauce, goat cheese and banana peppers..It was by far the best pizza I've ever had...check out the video.

If you are using already baked crusts bump that temp down to 375* Do it all the time for a quick batch of pizzas for the kids using precooked crusts bought at the store. 10 minutes or less. If you are actually using raw dough, you have to find what works for you and your egg.
I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season. -
Just got round 2. Also got the "AA Skunkeye" from the stewardess (AA=American airlines and Skunkeye= "no more for you").Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Hard to be suicidal when you are already dead. It was empty.

Wish I had the money to have that kind of drink when I was flying. Granted, I only fly once every five years.
