Smoking chicken ???????

I would like to ask my fellow eggers. Can I cook chicken quarters right along side my baby backs same temp...250-275 for around the same time maybe amour or so shorter? Happy egging!!!!

Sorry, that was a smart aleck remark, been reading that really long thread....
Only prob I would see with the chicks and ribs is the chicken cooking at a lower temp than I normally would, not sure if that would matter.

I've smoked chickens on an offset smoker but usually 275-300. Love the smokey flavor and they turned out well. Never tried quarters...might dry out too much coking that long.LBGE & SBGE. Central Texas.

Yes but they would take a lot less time than ribs. Maybe two hours tops.

Yes do it. Smoked chicken is great.

What poquito Esteban said. Ribs are 5 hours. You cook a chicken quarter for 4 hours and it will be a smidge past done.
