Didn't Gordie Lightfoot do a song about the Chiwawa? The legend lives on from the Chiwawa on down of the big lake they call Gitchigumi

As much as the wife and I love Gordon Lightfoot I don't think the wife or the kids would go for gitchigumi LS...lol

Damn I can't even say that lol but that could be due to the double rum and cokes!!!

We always wait a while before picking out a name...ya want it to fit and so you need to discover a little of their personality first....

We got a polydactyl (Hemmingway) kitten a few weeks ago and he remained un-named for a good week.  Finally named him Darwin because he's evolving (lots of extra toes).   And it just seemed to "fit".

  • These folks at my church have a Chihuahua named Stir-fry.  I think that's a cool name for a little dog.

Gotta go with a "big" dog name so he doesn't get a complex. Baron, general, max...just a thought.

I used to have a Cha-who-e-who-e. His name was Ziggy. My friends called him Turbo because he ran non-stop and my German Shepherd couldn't keep up. Which would last for all of about 10 minutes when he ran out of energy and crashed for a couple hours. Congrats on the new dog and like @nolaegghead said, let the personality of the dog come out and help choose itself. Our Yorkie was nameless for about a week until the name Bodi just came out.
