Hello ...could somebody tell me how much the hinge drops downward when you open the dome on a large BGE?
I have four inches from gasket to my tabletop .
Thanks again!

Boy, that might be close....My MBGE is just 4" from the felt line to the bottom of the hinge when the lid is up.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I'm sorry, how crass of me.If measuring for a table, go from the bottom of the egg to the bottom of the opened hinge. Give yourself about 5mm clearance. Add to that the paver and air gap you desire. This will be the dimension from the lower shelf to the table top.Hood Stars, Wrist Crowns and Obsession Dobs!

I had 15 inches from the top of the table to the bottom of the egg and my hinge hit the table a little. I added a ceramic tile under the table nest and it has plenty of clearance.
