Why not just your other egg? With that being said I would fire it up. I just wouldn't get to far from it

You can just set it on the ground (concrete drive or on a paver) but be careful it doesn't get knocked over.

I would use solid bricks rather then cinder blocks, especially if you have kids or animals around. I would keep it as low to ground as possible to prevent a tip over.

I wouldn't take the chance --  use the original, even if you need to make it in two batches.

Sure you can. People who are planning to build a table and don't want to waste money on a nest do it all the time. Just set it on pavement, not your lawn (where it could tip over).

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Well, with three warnings (four now, including me) about tipping over, there must be a message here.

Put it on concrete blocks.......just be sure you use the flat sides to set it on because the sides with the hole openings are pretty rough and you could chip the bottom circumference. I put a ton of them on blocks at the GA Mt. Eggfest and had no problem whatever and the ground was anything but level. The eggs are very stable on a flat surface and you'll have no problem with it tipping. I used 4 blocks for each egg, but, you could probably get by with three laid side-by-side.

Set it on your pavement -- and it will melt right into it!

LOL, didn't think of that. Ok, blocks then. :)

Set it on pavers , you'll be fine. Its not much different from the original feet you got in the past.
  • For sure. I did it when my table burned dow for a week or 2 until I got a nest. Worked like a champ.

That's me (still working on my table). Mine is on a paver on my deck. I don't have any kids running around so I am not worried about it tipping over.

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.
