Source for spice jars?

Looking for a recommended source online for those plastic jars the spices come in. 4-8 ounces. Sister owns restaurant soi like to raid her spice selection:) Also make my own dry rubs that i like to keep on hand.

    I use 1/2 pint canning jars for my homemade spices. Just thought I would pass it along as an alternative.

    We also use 1/2 pint mason jars, and they work great.  We do go thru a whole lot of spices in the house, good thing we live/work close to both The Spice House and Penzey's (both in Milwaukee) so we can stop it on a regular basis.

    Like this the best, the jars are virtually airtight and the spice rubs seem to keep very well. I use the plastic shakers for applying the rub/spice like @Richard_FL....

    These lab jars seem to be completely airtight, I submerged one for a while to test it. The mouth is also wide enough to easily admit a tablespoon. A 6 oz max capacity means that I have enough of most spices on hand for nearly anything, while keeping overstock in the freezer where it won't go bland.

    Lastly, the white metal jar tops work great with dry-erase markers for temporarily labeling your rub creations.

    Shipping basically doubles the catalog price, unfortunately. They do free shipping on big orders though, if you know anyone else with a jar fetish.

    Just an idea that I have found works great for me...I use 1/2 pint Mason Jars.  I built a rack that will hold both 1/2 pint and pint jars (for more often used spices), buy all my spices at the Spice House in downtown Milwaukee and use the labels they provide.

    I have seen them in my local grocery store, Ingles.  they keep them in the produce section.  for my rubs that I make I use pint canning jars and lids, easy to clean and keeps everything nicley.
