Gap in the gasket

Just got my LBGE awesome. after putting it together the gasket has a very small gap on the back side near the hinge. I have tried to loosen the rings and adjust but when I tighten them back I get a gap again. Any suggestions or is this not really an issue. Thanks in advance this forum is so good.
