Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.

@lizziesamps...That explains your concern for my phone on my overnight thread from Saturday! Lucky to say that I did not repeat your experience!

As for mine, my wife is originally from NC, so we are a pork family. My lunchbag has a better diagram, but it is beat up and wouldn't work well for a photo, so I found this one online.

Caught in Everglades National Park.  Had two big fish on at the same time.  My BIL's fish ran up into the mangroves and broke the line.  Luckily, my fish ran into open water where i fought it for about thirty minutes on plug casting light tackle.  The fish was released to fight again.

Guessing 20-25 pounds? That's a nice fish on light tackle. I was spoiled I used to be able to walk out back growing up and when the spillway was running could catch 15 snook an hour but most were in the 15-20 inch range.

That fish is 48 inches long.  I was raised in South Florida and fished around bridges targeting snook all my childhood.  Later, i always had a backcountry boat to fish snook, along with a larger boat to fish off shore.  Now retired, and fish the Gulf Coast for redfish, mainly.

Bet you had a few bonefish and tarpon in your day too. I used to dive the bridges in the Keys for lobsters in between the tides.  Seems like so long ago .....

The development of the GPS caused major changes in Everglades National Park.  Prior to GPS technology, people didn't venture back into the backcountry- like 38 miles where the fresh water mixed with the salt water - where we would catch both fresh and salt water in the same areas.  To get away from "people", we started fishing in the lower keys - fantastic fishing!!  We could catch lobster as we needed with just a fishing pole's tip and a landing net!!  We fished all artificial plugs and light casting tackle.  One area was "the Content Keys"!!  At night catching 24 inch mangrove snappers is about the limit of our tackle.  Enclosed photo is a world record Broadbill Swordfish caught in 1978, 453 pounds - 12 foot, one inch long caught on 50 pound test line.  Took two hours to put in the boat, one of our first swordfish night trips.

Mine is hard to see, but it's a moose that I came across when I was coming  back from the grocery store in the mountains.  I called our daughter who was in our condo just at the bend in the road and she ran down.  So for a while the two of us watched him from either side until a car pulled out from another driveway and scared him away.  It was cool but I think @YEMTrey has the best avatar - GO BLUE!

Lobstering in the keys is almost too easy. We would pull up to the power poles just south of Islamorada and get our limit every time we tied up to a pole. The bottom of the poles are probably like a 8' diameter and there would be a several foot gap around the bottom of the poles and the sand from the current. They would be piled up 3 deep all the way around.
