I was inspired by Jamieoro's Pretzel Experiment so last nights cook, Italian sausage burgers with cedar plank onions & peppers,Provolone cheese and old fashion grain mustard on home made pretzel buns

First time seeing cider planked veggies?? What does it do ?? Wish i could make rolls like that, they look like they could compliment pulled pork sammys..

The rolls were surprisingly easy to make and a hit with the family. While searching for the Alton Brown soft pretzel recipe I came across this& thisHe is using the same recipe. I switched the Brats for hot Italian sausage and did them strait on the grill at about 400 (sausage that is) only planked the veggies. The planks just a little flavor not too over powering. All in all it was very good buns were tender with a little chew the meat was juicy. I use sweet white onions and broke them into rings before putting them in the burgers as I didn't want to only taste onions
