Foods you ate as a kid

Mattman3969Mattman3969 Posts: 4,857
I was just lookin for something sweet to eat earlier and the pantry had nothing to satisfy me, so I mixed some peanut butter and white syrup and put it on ritz crackers. As a kid mom would do this but put it on bread so it was a sandwich. It got me to thinking about stuff I ate as a kid but not so much anymore. What are the foods that you ate as a kiddo and are near and dear to you now?

    Banana sammiches (with mayo)
Cold hot dogs straight out of the fridge.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Yes I had steakums.  Those seem gross now, haha.

I was an electricity geek as a youngin and I would electrocute my hot dogs.  No faster way to cook a dog.

Steakums, swiss cheese slices, and toasted rye bread.  Yummmmm.

Every once in awhile I buy thin sliced roast beef from the deli, and make my own Steakums sandwhices now adays.

    Cinnamon toast.
The Spouse does these all the time.  You have to have a dedicated jar of cinnamon sugar.

I hated spam as a kid. Had to cover it in ketchup just to eat it but enjoy it on occasion now
