Seems like they are going to get a lot of negative reviews over this snafu.  I will go back to RO if that is how they do business.   It is good stuff, but RO will get the job done.  Maybe a good dip in sales will help them see the light.  I guess when she takes a good dump it smells like roses.

    Simple ingredients, amazing results!

Ozark Oak beats the piss out of WG. Here is where I get mine from.

Wow! I think I just seen an online case of mass hysteria! I think caliking has had a serious online tantrum. "I used to like  . . . " and now that someone doesn't respond the way you expect you end up throwing a big ol' hissy fit.

Instead of being a little b**ch get in your car and drive to Conroe and buy 10 bags that's what I'd do.

I'm sure you'll enjoy B&B it's a good charcoal. But, it'll never hold a candle to the properties of WG.

@caliking I got your back brotha! I just said all kind of bad **** about her and her company under my breath of course. Royal Oak from Walmart is all I use. That is until @henapple comes through north Alabama and I can get some ozark.

Nah... Too many places with decent charcoal between me and Conroe, so this b!tch is gonna sit tight, and save the 2hr+ trip. I can make many things, but gasoline  is out of my league.

I'll just have to settle for my inferior cooks on inferior charcoal. Or I could buy a case of PBR and use it as henapple bait :)

Wow.   I am stunned by the email response.   I have always been one of the most ardent supporters of their product on this forum.

Thats a black eye in my mind.   I hope I do find a comparable product - WG is on my black list.

I was part of a pallet buy last year - not again with that kind of attitude.

Yeah, when I read Wiz's attestation to the F'up, he lost credibility real fast. Be careful where you put your bet Wiz, some don't always smell the way you saw.

Just sayin, and you made a major Ass of yourself!

@Chubbs, just getting my popcorn ready for the rest of the evening. Between this and the basketball game, should be a decent night as long as the hail holds off. Stupid weather.

Caliking took a jab at WG because he can't get it in his area at the price he wants. The WG woman made a pointless and ill conceived response because he was trying to damage the good name of her company. Caliking proceeds to put the entire, otherwise private, conversation on the forum after clearly getting the best of the WG woman's composure. The WG woman's wording is easily taken to the exteme if not entirely out of context. A pile on ensues. Shocking in this place. These guys make a little charcoal and are gracious enough to ship it to your door at a number. They could probably hand pick the buyers. They simply don't make enough. Not available in your area? Find another charcoal. It's charcoal! Too say you were treated poorly after trying to publicly damaging the company's image is weak. It's not like the WG woman told a customer in good standing he was wrong. She told a guy who made a jab at her company that he knew nothing about her business and pleaded for respect. Truth be told, she doesn't need his business or anyone else who buys this scenario. They run out of the stuff ... I think they have sales covered outside of the big green egg forum.

@Chubbs, why do you have a handle like that and eat popcorn? Is it with butter and rum? :))

Well this was a crazy read.

Since everyone is throwing in their thoughts..

I didn't like the response either, I probably won't search out WG anymore but I would still buy it if it were at my local ace again.  But it sounds like that is going to happen.

My second feeling was that if I were in the situation I think I would have kept it to myself.  But I respect the previous sentiment that there should be no expectation on the business to expect privacy.

And lastly,  whenever an argument there will always be people on either side.  I have lost no respect for @The_Naked_Whiz - Thanks for your contribution

When I did my 3rd bulk buy with Humphrey, Lee Humphrey gave me a call to let me know my order had shipped. He wanted to know when a good time would be to meet up with me to enjoy some Q and drink a beer. Now that's customer service! It didn't happen, but I told him to give me a shout if be was in the area. If you haven't tried Humphrey, it is great stuff. I've never used WGWW, but I've read others saying that Humphrey was comparable.
