New to forum

Ladies and gents,

My name is John, and I am new to the forum.  I bought a large egg last Saturday, and I wanted to get cooking right away so I joined up!  Unfortunately I was unable to post until today, but I wanted to thank you all for the great info!

I poked around here to learn how to smoke a butt.  I'd never smoked one before.  I read up and got to work, buying an 8 lb butt on Sunday morning.  Well, following the good advice here, I put it in at 9:45 that night and 15 hrs later I had some dee-lish bbq waiting! 

Thanks again for the great info!  (I had a camera in my hands at one point but got distracted and then forgot to take a pic.  The only pic I have is of the empty foil pan after everybody left!)

    Welcome aboard. You will love cooking with it!!!!!!! But like a guy told me when I first signed in. Nothing meant no pics, didn't happen. Egg is great and the people and info is also!!!!!!!!

    Welcome to the cult, sometimes the pic of the empty foil plan is the best evidence one can provide of a successful cook.
    I raise my kids, cook and golf.  When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.
    Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

    This is the new members forum :). Welcome aboard. Way to get out of the gate strong with an overnighter. Might be the first I've seen that on here. I've only been here a week though  ;)
