searing steaks, I seem to always lose arm hair.  I was just reverse-searing some ribeyes at about 600F.  I burped the egg, then slowly opened it, pit mitts on, and still managed to singe off nearly all the hair on the inside of my right forearm. 

Oh...btw...Cowboy has no trouble going off-scale on the BGE thermometer.
