New problem. Runaway temp help!

The daisy wheel is open 1/4 of an inch and the vent is open1 inch. I am trying to stay at 300 to turbo 2 butts but The temp is 400. Do I shut it down completely to bring the temp down?

Just close it down about half. It should come down but it'll take a bit. Don't shut it down completely though just restrict the airflow. Cut it halfway and give it 15 minutes.

Very small changes in the vents can make big swings in temps. This is important to know when lowering or raising temps. Butts are forgiving. You will be fine. Looking forward to seeing finished pics!

GMA (OP) what size egg you got?

Eggs and their different sizes behave differently. On a LBGE, yes a sliver of the daisy and a 1/2" on the bottom will keep it where you want it.

On a small, bottom halfway open and no daisy will keep you at 400.

Its all relative. And when you have more than one egg, watch the ETOH, you need you processor.

    Jk.
