Rust on grate

Options
My swing grate got rusted somehow (swmbo used the egg while I was gone and I'm going to assume she left it out in the rain).

What do I do to fix it?

Warm it up on the egg..use bunched up HDAF to clean rust off (both sides) then get it screaming hot and cook hamburgers (80/20). Leave in egg to cool down use foil to knock off any residual food and store in egg. Cook with until it is well coated and it will never rust again. Mine got left in rain without shred of rust forming.
