Big Green Egg - EGGhead Forum - The Ultimate Cooking Experience...
We hope everyone’s enjoying the first few days of summer. For us, the weather heating up means one thing - the EGG’s gonna be busy! Whether you’re making stuffed burgers for a backyard grill out, some brats before a baseball game or searing a steak for dinner on the patio, we hope you’re doing it with full flavor and having fun all the while!

Big Green Egg headquarters has moved - come visit our new showroom and check out the museum and culinary center too! 3786 DeKalb Technology Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30340

What are you drinking while Egging this weekend?

I'm sipping on some Firestone Walker Double Jack DIPA right now, and it sure is tasty.  Can't keep that 9-10% ABV up all weekend, though . . .
. . . or can I?

Challenge accepted!

Drinking some FFF Zombie Dust's right now . Got the brisket on and doing some yard work. Have a Crooked Stave BA Barleywine on deck as well as some GI BCS! Gonna be a beautiful day/night and prolly a rough morning.

  • @YEMTrey - I don't live in a FFF distribution area, sadly.  They're located in my parents' hometown - love their stuff when I can get it.  Sounds like a solid selection!

I'm on to Avery Hog Heaven right now.  Probably Sierra's Southern Hemisphere Wet Hop Harvest after that.  We've got a pretty full cellar right now.

Molson Canadian 67. 67 calories and three percent. It eliminates that wasted stage where you have to wait to pee. Just runs through.

Uncorking some fine Grifone 1967 red from trader joes in a bit. Can't beat it for like $8 a bottle. Most of the time it's red wine for me, with an occasional whiskey and ginger. Enjoy!

Tigers on at 4PM then the Phillies at 7PM

Shortly going to prep the veggies for tonight, peppers and asparagus. Then I am going to open a fresh Woodford Reserve and commence to sippin' and burning a stick or two

At some point tonight; will fire the egg for the veggies and then doing some grouper and scallops in the CI skillet.

@hapster-great that you can perform serious cooking functions once the bourbon appears. I don't go down that road til I am finished the "heavy lifting" on the BGE.  Changed the order up once and it was not pretty!

Man I wish I could keep up the DIPA all weekend but I just finished 2 and my head is light.  Not sure why...maybe the sun?  Seriously...I usually can drink 4 before a good buzz.  Switching to Stone IPA (San Diego) because dat's all i's gotz left.

Just finished cutting the grass and now sitting on the patio in 35 mph winds, sipping a Tito's lemonade. Will next prep the Egg for a late night pizza cook when the kids get here.

Just pulled the brisket from the Egg and have it FTC'D. Thermapen probed thru very easily. We shall see. Cracked another beer and cranked up some Allman Brothers to bask in my glory.
    Cheers!

Pacific Northwest Sunshine came down hard this morning so I skipped the grass cutting part and went right to the porch, glass or two of Grolsch in hand. Now the sun is out, but unfortunately I could not operate the lawnmower safely, guess I will just have to sit here and watch tonight's souvlaki marinate - Life is good!
