    I just wanted to revive a thread here.  After my ribs were ready to go and I went to start the Egg with my electric lighter...poof...the electric lighter broke (continued to trip my GFI).  So I did a quick search on the Oil Towel Big Green Egg method on Google and this was the thread that saved the day.

    Next thing you know someone will be extolling the virtues of lighting their Egg with liquid oxygen like the old video where they melted down the Weber kettle.  Talk about an "instant" fire.  WOW
