We hope everyone’s enjoying the first few days of summer. For us, the weather heating up means one thing - the EGG’s gonna be busy! Whether you’re making stuffed burgers
for a backyard grill out, some brats
before a baseball game or searing a steak
for dinner on the patio, we hope you’re doing it with full flavor and having fun all the while!
Big Green Egg headquarters has moved - come visit our new showroom and check out the museum and culinary center too! 3786 DeKalb Technology Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30340
Last night I loaded my firebox with WGWW to just above the firebox level.. Lit it in one spot in the middle and let it get close to 225 and then closed down the bottom vent to about 1/2 inch visible gap.. Left the daisy wheel petals completely open.. I thought it had stabilized, but before going to bed it had crept up to 275, so I closed the petals down about halfway, maybe slightly more. At 7 this morning, the dome was at 205 or so..
Does anyone have a pic of what the vents should look like to get 225 or 250? I realize that the Egg wants to settle in higher than that typically, but I'd like to nail 225 for overnights at some point..
