Dizzy Pig rub insight wanted
I love trying different rubs and marinades and after reading the reviews here and elsewhere, I'm planning on ordering several of these rubs. Definitely getting the Dizzy Dust which seems like a popular cover-all for many different cooks and a crowd pleaser when you can't use too much heat and would seem a perfect fit for ribs and pork butt which I do quite a bit of.....also Raging River and Shaking the Tree for seafood and/or chicken.....and then some Swamp Venom for myself since I love the heat and the rest of the family doesn't. Thinking of maybe doing one rack of ribs with this from time to time for me and the rest in Dizzy Dust or something with less heat for the masses, but probably couldn't use it for a single piece of meat.
My main quandary is what rub to consider for brisket. The two I'm considering are the Red Eye Express and also Cow Lick.....or maybe just Dizzy Dust? Any thoughts on these or anything else would be appreciated. I love the fact that they have many different options which certainly speaks to their R&D, but can be a bit confusing as well. Thanks!!

I have Cowlick and I like it. Swamp Venom is my favorite so far. I'd recommend buying the sampler to test them all out.
I did a brisket yesterday with Cowlick and it was top notch. -
I have had every rub that Dizzy has made besides the new Fajita one and such. Top notch stuff.

For brisket, Cow Lick is my choice from the DP rubs. Red Eye is my favorite for lamb.XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal, Summit S-620 NG

Cowlick and brisket go together like peas and carrots. It's all I have ever used.

I like the raising the steaks too but swamp venom is the bestGreensboro, NC

Never tried cow lick on brisket, but I love Raising the Steaks on it. Very peppery, as a brisket should be IMO.

Jamaican firewalk is good too. I like it with wings. Personally I have found rib and butt rubs just as good or better that are cheaper than dizzy dust, but it is a solid product.
It's been a while since I ordered from them, but I believe they'll throw in samples if you wanna just try something._______________________________________________XLBGE -

Thanks everyone for the input. Placed an order for Dizzy Dust, Raging River, Shakin' the Tree, Swamp Venom and Cow Lick to start out with. I'm sure I'll give some others a try also at some point. Kinda pricey, but looking forward to giving these a try. Luckily I did find a retailer that provides free shipping which helped quite a bit.
