after what seems like weeks, I can finally post in this forum instead of just view threads. I live in Minnesota in case you couldn't tell by the foot of snow in the attached picture, it was taken last weekend while cooking a brisket. I bought my large BGE last October shortly before our second kid was born because I realized the days of eating out are pretty much done! I look forward to learning new recipes and egging techniques on this forum.

    Welcome to the cult from south central Texas where there is no snow and lots of BGE's and some of the worlds best BBQ (IMHO).

    Welcome, where are the brisket pictures?


    I tried the @travisstrick method after searching this forum. Can of Newcastle, 12oz beef broth, a large onion cut up, and some mustard + DP cow lick rub on the brisket itself. Turned out great after ~6 hours on the egg when I pulled it at 205F. Sorry, no after pics.

    Usually when there are no after pics, it means it tasted too good to take the time.

    Or gremlins got to it first... Pesky bastards.

    Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.

    Omg... Not the Travis method. His head just got bigger. Travis, Mickey, cwm, Centex, foghorn all have their own methods. I want one. I guess mine is meeting in dark alleys doling out oo to users for pbr.
