Pork butt and new slaw recipe.

Sunday's cook was a Boston butt. Been awhile for pulled pork but was really excited. Injected with a brine of apple juice, pineapple, Worcestershire, soy, Tabasco. Then 2 different rubs indirect till reached 200 internal. Juiciest and best butt I have done. Cole slaw was a ranch based slaw with blue cheese and bacon.

@chip yes it is. I just had a little cracked pepper and cracked red pepper. I like both his slaw recipes.

Brine: 1 cup apple juice 1\2 cup pineapple juice 1\2 cup packed brown sugar 1\4 cup salt 2 tbl worcestershire 2 tbl soy 2 tbl Tabasco 1\2 tsp cayenne pepper Used 2 rubs - first coat with dizzy pig 2nd was a coat of was dizzy pig swamp venom Bacon & Blue Cheese Coleslaw: 1 cup ranch dressing 1 tbl sugar 1 tbl maple syrup 1\4 black pepper Mix all together then mix 1 pound shredded coleslaw mix 4 slices bacon crumbled up 1\2 cup crumbled blue cheese mix that those 3 together. then mix the dry mix with the dressing and toss.

Crazy question, but I am new to the BGE world. Do you let the butt rest after you inject it or put the rub on and to the BGE it goes?

I inject my butts, and then from the injection liquid that leaks back out of the butt, i coat the butt with the liquid injection before applying the powder (Bad Bryons) rub.

@swb10pin I just inject & then add rub. I start the egg get it going do some other things getting all set up, so usually 30 mins or so, then I throw on the meat.

Please rephrase all of that. I'm sorry, I'm twisted like a country road.Thats why i posted the pictures:1) See the butt with the injection leaking out?2) pick up the butt at this point and spread the injection liquid all over the butt. Then apply the rub!
