Looking to buy a whole cow in Raleigh and have it butchered and packaged. Anyone know of a local farmer that sells 100% grass fed whole cows? Thanks.

I've been thinking about this same thing lately.. Either this or at least half a cow.. I'm on the MS Gulf Coast, though, so sorry I can't help much.

http://www.eatwild.com/products/index.htmlthis will lead you to producers in your area, from there you are on your own as far as packaging. it may not help a lot but it is a start

I just bought one from a farm in Eden, NC and it is some of the best meat I have ever tasted. I can pass along the info if you are interested. Probably an hour and a half from you.XL,L,SWinston-Salem, NC

I'm in Cary. I've seen a few places in the triangle area that offer half and quarters, but not whole.

I have found as big as a quarter...do you mind sharing where you found the half? I have a friend who wants to buy a whole cow with me...but if the best we can do locally is a half then so be it

I can't find the original email, but I'll keep looking. It was through one of these vendors:

In fact, can't remember if I called or emailed....talked to several different ones and one regularly produced halfs. I'll see if I can find the original info.
