  • I got a set for Christmas and have used twice. Once was fix polish sausage with peppers and onions, and the other time was to fix bacon wrapped scallops.

Originally I wanted them to fix apple pancakes and bacon. Found the recipe at http://www.oneilloutside.com/RecipesHOME.html.

You can also use it as a 1/2 plate setter, one side is direct on side is indirect.

Here is a pic with a stone, but griddle works too.

  • I really like the half moon cast iron for the Egg.  I use it for veggies, potato coins and the like.

I give it a thumbs up!

Question: Where did you get it and how much was it?
And to answer your question; a number of Adam Perry Lang's recipes call for a blend of cooking on the grill grate, then on a griddle, and back and forth like that, so a half griddle would be good for that.

I got it at my local dealer. Don't remember the price, wasn't bad. I have also used it to make Panini's and have grilled veggies on it. Its top notch for blackening seafood though. Did some tuna and scallops this past weekend and they were great.

We use the flat side for fish and scallops mostly. I did a post a while back showing some stuff. I use the other side for chicken and turkey burgers since they don't hold up as well as a beef burger.
