Big Green Egg - EGGhead Forum - The Ultimate Cooking Experience...
It doesn’t get much hotter than the EGG cookin’ in July! Make sure to keep yourself hydrated with a bit of whatever you’re using for the Beer Can Chicken. Ice Cream Sandwiches are also a great way to stay cool. Looking for some great ideas for a summer cook out? Try out a Pimento Cheeseburger or Dr. BBQ’s Spare Rib Surprise. Just don’t be surprised if your neighbors stop by for a quick bite when they smell what you’re cooking!

Big Green Egg headquarters has moved - come visit our new showroom and check out the museum and culinary center too! 3786 DeKalb Technology Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30340

I could use your vote...

Greetings friends,

I NEVER do this, but this is a special circumstance...  The competition has been happening for a few months, and in days, the decisions will be announced.

I'd appreciate your vote as best male server in the restaurant category on the eighth (last) page of the following link:

Yes, you have to register.  No, they haven't ever sent me an email.

I'm "1618-Damien"

Feel free to vote for whatever you like in other categories - I work at a Seafood restaurant called "1618" - do as you feel...

i know you don't know me in real life...
...but others on this forum, in the past, have had great success with soliciting your support, and it's D-Day for me, and this could really boost me, professionally. So I submit, humbly, to you.

I love my job and look forward to it everyday - something very rare in this area.
If you read this far, I consider THAT a compliment.  Thank you for your time.

8-Damien

PS - I'm getting another brisket on Monday, and I'll make a VIDEO for this one...  PROMISE...

Voted.  As a bonus I also voted your place as the best gay bar.  Drum up some new business and all that.

    much thanks gang..

There's no way to tell how the voting is going until they publish the results.  I've known the editor of this weekly since he first relocated to Greensboro from NOLA - he always strives to make the competition as fair each year as he can.  Sometimes he does better some years lol.

I've been in the industry my whole life.  It's always fun to see how everyone's restaurant and bar ends up doing in these things.  Voting is on going for now - no idea when they'll stop it.  It began in February or March..

For those who are curious - the brisket delivery got pushed back from Monday to Wednesday this week.  I'll keep to that video promise.

    Again - thanks a lot y'all.

    Final update.

The Yes Weekly released their vote results yesterday - I pulled in a "Runner-Up."

Some knob from a pizza place has some 'splainin' to do.  :)

Thanks, all, for your thoughtful support.
