Santa Maria tri tip is flat out amazing. Even the kids loved it!! Wife loved it too, used the new toy I got for Easter (BGE Wireless thermometer) worked great pulled a little late at 153 degrees. Next time would pull at like 140 as none of us like medium rare but like medium to medium well done.

Again thanks for the recommendation! One more for the rotation!

    Way to go. Never have done tri-tip. Did you do a reverse sear or just direct or what?

    I'm usually done pretty quickly at that temp.

    I usually pull it at about 138. Anything over 140 and it gets a tad chewy.

    Looks great, I love tri-tip and just found a butcher around me that actually has it available! I use Guy Fieri's Santa Maria recipe and it was the best one I have ever made. 

    I did Egret's Ham yesterday, you are having some great meals at your house lately!
