long story... basically bought a spiral ham... didn't realize it till I went to put it on yesterday.... too late to do egbert's so I called Mickey who said go with his method just keep a real close eye on it. he stated this twice. I didn't so I ended up with mainly ham jerky. oh well..

  • That's what you get for listening to Mickey. Spiral sliced Hams are pre cooked and only need to be glazed and warmed. Follow the cook temps on the package and use your egg instead of your oven.

Bummer.  Spiral sliced are so unforgiving if not kept moist.

I'd do a spiral.  I'd just cook it as low as I can go (200F ?) until 140.  Baste, smoke, eat.

I did one today, indirect at 270 degrees.  Basted every 15 minutes with a mixture of a can of concentrated orange juice, the sugar glazing package that came with the ham and a Coke.  Cooked to 140 degrees internal -- took three and a half hours.  It was a big hit!!

Oh yeah. Snort the salt, squirt the lemon in your eye, and shoot the liquor...
