Kabobs: Mushroom Advice

When you guys/gals add mushrooms to your kabobs, are you putting them on raw or are you somehow pre-cooking them?   The last time I did chicken kabobs with mushrooms, I felt like the mushrooms came about a bit too undercooked while the rest of the veggies were fine.
