Another Stout Beef Copycat

Been seeing all this stout beef lately and had to try it. Took the day off today and am treating it like a Sunny Saturday. Here goes, more to come.

    Looks like it is off to a great start. 


    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg wing.

    Somehow the egg got away from me and my temp is up to 300. A little high. Was shooting for 250-275. I hate when that happens, takes forever to recover!

    Gotta say this recipe is GREAT! Best flavored roast beef I've had. And excellent on some butter toasted Portuguese bread topped with 2 slices of provolone. I melted the cheese under the broiler. Wanted to make some horseradish spread, but my bottle of horseradish looked really old, so I just went with mayo. Nothing lost. What I really loved was the bread got just a tad soggy with the stout juices. Excellent!

    I raise my kids, cook and golf.  When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.
    Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.
