New Pizza Stone

What should I do to season a new pizza stone?  I bought one of the BGE brand stones,  A while back, my well seasoned Pampered Chef cracked (I think it got to hot).

    Nothing. Wipe with damp towel, use corn meal or parchment paper to avoid dough from sticking and go to town.

    I always cook a batch of Pillsbury Crescent rolls or biscuits the first time or two with a new stone,  The high fat content helps season the stone.

  • I was thinking about rubbing bacon grease on it and putting in oven at about 300 for 30-45 min.
