I just got a BBQ Guru (bday present from the wife). I used it last week for the first time and toward the end of the cook, after opening the lid, the pit display showed 3 dashes. It was the end of the cook so I didn't worry about it. I hooked it up today to do a brisket and the pit temp wouldn't register...just showed 3 dashes. Is the probe bad or am I doing something wrong? I understand the probes have to be fully inserted, so that is not it. Thx!
