New Egg

After I got my Xl Egg my dad was hinting around about me possible lending my old smoker (WSM) to him.  Rather than do that, my mom, brother and I went in together and just bought him a large with nest and handler, shelves, platesetter, ash tool and looft lighter.  I pick it up this afternoon and will deliver it later today.  Excited to see what he says.

  • Will you be my son?

Great job, he will love it

That's WAY better than lending him your old grill! I bet he will be very happy and now you'll have a egg to cook on when you go visit! =D>

Well I dropped it off. Gotta know my dad but the first thing he says is "why the **** did you do that, it's way too fancy and expensive for me". By the time we got her out and set up he's asking all sorts of questions about "how do I do that, what about this, what's this for, etc....". Very appreciative and he said he needs my recipes now so he can get going. Think he is gonna like it!
  • Very nice gift!!!!!!!

I was constantly telling my dad about my cooks, sent pics, and cooked for him on the Egg when he was in town visiting his grand kids I asked when he was going to get one and he said "when someone gets me one." We gave him a medium this last Christmas and had it shipped to VA. Had it put together and placed in the driveway. Woke up Christmas morning and got on face time with him. Told him to go outside while on FT and there the Egg was put together in nest with a red bow. The tears started flowing instantly. Priceless!
