What is the most you have ever cooked on your LBGE at once?
I did 3 slabs of spare ribs. 4 onions, 7 potatoes, 14 half ears of corn. Everything was perfect cept for the potatoes. I just didn't put them on soon enough.
I don't know if you want multiple levels or not but here is some game day apps I did with my CGW Swing Rack, Moink Balls, Pig Shots, Stuffed Peppers, ABTs, and bacon wrapped asparagus.
10 lbs of wings
3 pack of ribs in a rack and a turkey breast
21 lb Turkey
10 chicken legs and some veggies in foil packets
I just got a firewire last week so now I can squeeze more veggies on without taking much space up.
Pork loin sliced up for tacos al pastor and pineapple
Large & Small BGE, Two-Tier Swing Rack, Spider for the Wok, eggCARTen & and Cedar Pergola my Eggs call home.
Wow that all looks great! What are the best jalapeño poppers you have made and how and tell me about those stuffed peppers?? Oh and by the way multiple levels are fine! I want to see it all!
For the poppers I like to char a poblano while the egg is heating up and then dice it up and put it in cream cheese add a little smokey and then put the mixture in the jalapeño, sprinkle with some rub and wrap thick cut bacon around it. I some people have gotten pretty creative like @NecessaryIndulgShrimp ABTs (several pics) and other cheeses but I haven't yet..
Can't find the pics at the moment but same setup that @TUTTLE871 used for his pork except it was about 28 pounds of pork butt on the bottom and three rib racks up top.
Cub fan burying his disappointment through Egging.
Three 10plus pound pork butts. Sorry - no pic, it was my first post to the forum. Learned a lot since then, most importantly if you stuff 30 pounds of pork in the LBGE, you need to cook it higher than 225 dome. They took 29 hours, and that was with wrapping in foil at 170 IT, and were delicious.
Thanks guys, wife is busy doing the taxes and says " boy we spent a lot more on entertaining since the egg came along..." That's great hopefully it takes attention away from what I spent on Ammo :-)
23# (7,8,8 lbs each) of pork shoulder on a single rack in my Large BGE. However it only took me 14 hours at 225-250 dome temp with no foiling. I now have a second-tier of rack and am planning my 45# pound cook.... Just need to distract the wife.... Perhaps if I follow @double and just unload some ammo in the back yard she won't notice... >:)
Keywords: Gator, Nashvegas, LBGE, Looftlighter, Thermapen in Racing Green (faster than the red one!)
