JR's First Spatchcock Chicken tonight

I am doing my first spatchcock chicken right now. We have been doing beer can chicken for ever. I rubbed it with olive oil and John Henry's Texas Chicken Tickler. Cooking on a raised grid at 375 with pecan chips.

  • Congrats. Great looking bird. I did my first a few weeks ago and loved it. Did a flat today but doing (2) spatchcock chickens tomorrow.

    Nice bird. Suggestion: make that pecan a 50/50 mix with some cherry as well for extra color.
    Salado TX Egg Family: 2 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max (I'm good for now).
