new cook

Boneless chicken thighs stuffed with spinach, artichoke and provolone cheese then wrapped in....wait for it, bacon. Corn on the cob. Pulled the husk back and cleaned the silk out...evo, s&p then wrapped in...wait for it, bacon. Tied the husk back on and grilled over the chicken. When the chicken was done I took the bacon off the corn, pulled the husk back and roasted. Heavy on the hickory...

Yeah man, I'll be there.  I plan on disturbing some peace.  I have a gigantic ghetto blaster and, like, 3 sets of batteries for it (uses 12 D cells).  I might just bring a little tailgate generator and sell power to the highest bidder.  I'll definitely be cooking something up, semi edible and probably with puffer-fish drunkenly carved.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

My maverick is on the fritz so I just hung around 300 dome. Direct with the corn on a raised grid over the chicken. About 45 minutes on the chicken and 20 on the corn. The bacon on the corn didn't get close to being done so I removed it and roasted the rest of the way. Might try the bacon/corn uncovered next time.
