Yes, Chubbs is right. Woo. 2nd grid is the 9 1/2" grid that came with my Mini. It barely fits and if I raise the 2nd grid at all the lid won't close. I think an 8 1/2" or 9" upper tier would be better but other than a 9" High-Q a grid that size is hard to find.

I have the cast iron mini grid. It came out a week after I got the stainless and now have a stainless I used like once ir twice. There was a comment that the small doesn't have much more space than the mini but I don't agree at all. I have stuffed the mini with a five pound shoulder and I have stuffed my small with 18 pounds (2 9 pounders on their side). That's a huge difference. Transporting either of them isn't a huge they are both fairly light. I have the carten for the mini and will get one for the small soon. We camp alot and depending on the crowd bring either or or both. I love my mini but for me if I had to get rid of one it would be the mini.

I ordered a mini for myself because my local deal was out of stock.  Does it come with the daisy wheel?
Just as Gary said yes, but I do not find any reason to use it. Works fine without.
@Mickey, have you ever "broken down" why or how u can go w/o the daisy wheel?  do you keep the ceramic cap on or leave everything off?

Yes it comes with daisy wheel. No I do not use it at all, ever now. I do not need it as I can control temp fully by the bottom vent. By the same way you can always leave the bottom vent fully open and use only he daisy wheel to control. This works on all size Eggs. I use the ceramic cap to cut off the fire and when not using.

I roll without the daisy wheel now also since seeing it was not necessary. Sure it makes the whole process feel more complete but not needed.

Do you guys that don't use the daisy wheel cook everything turbo? I have had probably 8 different eggs and none would hold 250 with the top or bottom fully open no matter what you did with the opposite side.

Unless it is large cook, or a low and slow, I use the Mini instead of my Large every time!

    You'll love it.

For low and slow I use the wheel should have mentioned that. 300 and up no wheel needed.
