Can the thermapen be used as a thermometer for children? If so, do you use it orally or anally. Thirdly, is it a good idea to wash it before BGE use if used anally?

Mine is umpteen zillion years old ( a slight exaggeration ) and still works great. I am finding you only have to buy one in a lifetime. Could not grill without it.
