Yes. I use them to freeze leftover pizza sauce (and other things) into individual portions. Just take out a few cubes as needed depending on how many pizzas we are doing.
you can even still buy new aluminum trays last time i looked. i had some antique hunter friends get me a nice collection of the old metal ones with the pull handle, its all i use. ive never bought a fridge with an ice maker, well actually ive never bought a fridge, theres free ones everywhere
Far to funny, I always wondered what i was going to do for ice for the other 7 months of the year here. Good post, Big help, i will have to share that one.
