New BGE Cover

A few weeeks ago for my birthday my large egg received a new winter coat.  My old cover had worn through at the top.  I put on the new cover.  It is longer than the old one, and it is vented.  I am haveing a big problem with moisture.  When I uncover it there is moisture on the dome on the outside and when I opened it there was drops of water on the cast iron grate.  I have it covered when not in use, but it seems like it would be better left uncovered if I am getting this much moisture on and in it.  Any thoughts and/or suggestions concerning this problem?  Thanks.
