Frigid Egging

Options
For all you guys asking about cold weather egging, my wife wanted a steak last night so I braved the elements and did my husbandly duties.... We went to the best steak restaurant in town for New Years Eve & she was dissapointed, said she can get better at the house!!!  I love my wife & love my Egg.  Sorry for the crappy pic, my phone must have been frozen from being outside....

Sorry, but the title is incorrect. 46* would be a nice warm day here in Mi. Now you will have to deduct this from your post count!

I suppose this is to be funny? I don't find it funny at all. It is 20 degrees here in Michigan, that is not Celsius either lol.

Yeah, we all have our cross to bear.... If in the bay area or LA, it is earthquakes, in the north west it is rain. In the heartland it's tornados. Home is what you make of it, one man'e snow drift covering his car is another man's playscape for his snow machine, it is all good.
Nice looking meal Jason, regardless of the temp.

Did you get the new ion? Likely not, im guessing you have a gas auger. Out here on Lake St Clair, we have ice only about 100 yards 3" deep. But its getting better.

Got my XL egg as a gift for Christmas. Cooked a deliciously juicy spatchcock chicken first. Then I smoked an 11lb picnic butt overnight and added a small maple-brined turkey breast in the morning. Was 14 degrees when I went to bed. Fire went out early am, but I caught it in time to save the meat. My first overnighter went pretty well, considering temp and fire issue.

i paid 9 grand for a fourwheeler so i could warm the guinness up on the muffler, nothing worse than a guinness slushy

The good news from this post is that regardless of the climate, the Egg comes through just the same. I am brand new to the Egg world and am currently smoking a beef sirloin roast (3rd cook in 6 days of owning) in 25 degree weather in Indiana but am loving this forum and all the fun and creative people and ideas on it!

Glad everyone caught the sarcasm. Don't know how you guys do it. Went to ND 2 years ago & they were selling tickets for a fishing rodeo, an ICE fishing rodeo!!!! Guys, I grew up fishing. Wife says I can't live without it. Would definitely have to reevaluate if I had to do what y'all do.

NOLA, I'm at the camp right now with some ice in my KY bourbon. Hopefully have a few more ducks to smoke.
